Position Summary:
OWSDF seeks a motivated Education Specialist to join our team in Bokh, Somali Regional State. The Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing educational initiatives, promoting access to quality education, and fostering learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve student learning outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to provide support and guidance
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted interventions
- Provide professional development and training to faculty and staff on best practices and new initiatives
- Advocates for the needs of students, particularly those with special needs or from underprivileged backgrounds
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and research in education and apply them to their work
- Analyze data and use it to make data-driven decisions to improve student achievement
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages student engagement and success
- Support and mentor educators to help them grow in their profession and achieve their goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Education or relevant fields with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of education principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Previous experience in program management, implementation, and project development in the education sector.
- Proficiency in English and Somali languages.
